In September 2006, I began my life-long love affair with journalism. While at times an abusive relationship, this one is the real deal.

Since 2006, I've worked at the University of Illinois' campus publication, The Daily Illini as the public safety beat reporter and the Metro News Desk editor and The (Champaign, Ill.) News-Gazette as a contributing writer and a freelance multimedia reporter. I've been a freelance multimedia reporter for The (Elgin) Courier News , and The Huffington Post Chicago.

I graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science degree in News-Editorial Journalism in May. I liked the program so much I decided to stick around for a while and get my Master of Science degree.

In addition to conventional reporting methods, I have consciously diversified my degree requirements with basic training in design , graphics , photography, Web design, audio and video skills. Also of note is a deep dedication to social justice and a knack for designing and up-keeping websites for private clients.
